CatWalk FurBaby · ELYSIAN Impact
Campaigns that bring people closer to the cause. A voting experience built to earn their confidence. Our work behind a different breed of New York Fashion Week.
Fashion.The bigger picture
Created by ELYSIAN founder Karen Floyd, CatWalk FurBaby brings designers, models, rescue organizations, and four-legged companions together at Sony Hall. Fashion gives the cause a stage. The people watching give it a wider voice.
Our continuing collaboration connects the story around the event with the systems behind audience participation: campaign and public relations work, the People’s Choice voting integrity system, and reporting for the event team.
About the event, from ELYSIAN01 / Campaign & public relations
There is a memorable idea at the heart of CatWalk FurBaby: fashion and animal welfare sharing the same spotlight. Our campaign and PR work puts that connection at the center of the story.

A distinctive cast and a meaningful cause. Campaign thinking gives people a reason to care about what is happening on the runway.
Public relations support places the event within the wider Fashion Week conversation, keeping the charitable purpose alongside the spectacle.

02 / The People’s Choice system
When an audience vote supports real charities, the count deserves care. We built the voting integrity system connecting submissions, eligibility, payment changes, public standings, and verification.
An eligible submission passes through a signed connection, is checked against the event’s rules, and contributes to the standings.

One eligible free vote adds one vote to this example team. Illustrative figures; no live votes are cast.
Connections can retry. The system recognizes an already processed submission so delivering the same record again does not increase the count.

The delivery repeats. Its effect on the count does not. Illustrative figures; no live votes are cast.
Payment status and refunds travel with the source record. Updated information is reconciled with the eligible total instead of being treated as another purchase.

This illustrative refund removes two previously counted paid votes. Illustrative figures; no live votes are cast.
Repeated deliveries, older updates, and conflicting records have defined outcomes.
The public sees the standings. Personal details stay out of that view.
Open voting, a closed count, and a verified result are distinct stages.
The decisions beneath the surface
A simple experience for the audience.
A considered system behind it.
Signed messages connect the source voting form to the counting system. Submission identifiers and versions distinguish a new record from a retry or an older update. Conflicting records are held for review instead of silently changing the total.
Names and raw email addresses are removed before a submission reaches the vote database. Free-vote checks use an event-specific email fingerprint. The public leaderboard exposes aggregate standings, not voter or payment records.
A purchase can represent multiple votes. The system keeps free and paid voting distinct, accounts for payment status and recorded refunds, and checks eligibility against the event cutoff. That makes the total a count of eligible vote units, rather than a count of rows.
Source receipts, reconciliation checks, and versioned snapshots make the path to a total inspectable. Reports distinguish a provisional snapshot from a final result, and show ties explicitly. The close of voting is a defined step in that process, not an automatic claim that verification is complete.
03 / Event-day reporting
The event team needs a clear readout, not a database to interpret. Daily reporting and a scheduled closing snapshot bring the standings, participation, and timing into one useful handoff.
A snapshot of the count, with the context to read it responsibly.
Regular reports keep the team informed. The closing report brings the current leader, full standings, and participation highlights together, with a clear capture time and provisional status.
The report snapshot and delivery content are saved together. If sending needs another attempt, the system reuses that readout instead of generating a different set of numbers.
A continuing collaboration
